In addition to the standard documents, a special certificate is required — a marriage certificate from abroad. This document can be obtained at the consulate of the country of origin.

All documents issued outside of Poland or not in Polish must have an official translation. The case review in court usually takes 2-3 months.
All documents issued in other languages must be translated by an official sworn translator. Marriage registration is possible no earlier than 30 days after submitting documents to the Urząd Stanu Cywilnego.
